Hello guys, upon request of an anonymous, I will give tips on how to make a colorporn psd. But what is an psd colorporn? Simple, is a psd which contains vibrant colors highlighting, example: blue, yellow, red .. First of all you should choose pictures with quality and containing the color you want to highlight in psd. A clearer picture as best, dark photos are not recommended.
Made the choice of the picture, open it in your photoshop, set the size you want, and then apply a good sharpness, in case if some screencaps in series/movies, do not use such a strong! I recommend this. Ok here we go.
First of all apply a curves, and go leaving middle white, but not too whitish. Later in selective color, let the absolute mode, check the color option and select the color you will highlight in psd. Go adjusting the colors that the color stay uniform, not too exaggerated. I recommend going slowly increasing. After put more brightness/curves. Go to in selective color increase again and adjust the color tone you want, when stay a little stronger, go and adjust vibrance to +32. I use this adjust, but you can use less or more strong. If your psd render yellowish, go again in selective color adjustment in yellow and the following settings:
That done, your psd will not look as yellowish, the more you adjust the black option will look less yellowish. If you want to add a color balance (do not overdo) brightness/contrast, levels, gradients (soft light) the blending mode I always leave, and if stay strong can decrease the opacity! Well, your psd be almost ready, if you want to leave in a pastel shade, put a gradient pastel, or go solid color, select white, and leave the blending mode to soft light and go lowering the opacity. Or if you want to leave with more brightness and colorful, carefully go increasing vibrance and brightness/contrast, it is to your liking. Now we will highlight secondary colors. Secondary colors would be accompanying the color you want to highlight, eg color of the sky, clothes, accessories and so on. I always go in selective color, and the black option will adjust the black. In blue, I change sometimes for purple. In pink, i leave sometimes in soft pink and pink. This is all at your discretion! It gets much better the appearance of your psd. Done all that, should be ready your psd.
Important tip: Never pass the tint of the picture, always try to get uniform colors, why if stay get exaggerated, will not be good at gifs.
